Play cards with the family this Tihar

Tihar nights run late, with a light in every window and a game of cards nobody wants to stop. If some of the family are abroad this year, they can still sit at the same table.

Playing together from different countries

  1. Open one of the games below and choose Friends online. Your table gets a code and a link of its own.
  2. Tap Copy the link and send it to the family group on Viber, WhatsApp or Messenger.
  3. Whoever opens the link sits down at your table, in the browser or in the Android app. Nobody has to sign up, and a bot plays any seat nobody takes.

The games families play at Tihar

Teen Patti is the game most Nepali families call Flush. Langur Burja is here too, the cloth and dice game of Dashain and Tihar, for up to six players.

Playing with real cards at home

At home the cards are real, but somebody still has to add up the points. The Marriage points calculator works out every player’s total for each hand, and its live scoreboard lets everybody at the table follow it on their own phone.

Coins here have no money value. Nothing is bought, sold or paid out, whatever the game.
