Privacy policy

• You can play without telling us anything. The first time the app goes online it makes an anonymous account, so your results and coins have somewhere to live.
• Signing in is up to you. If you do, we keep the email address or the Google account you used.
• There are no ads, no analytics and no tracking, and the site sets no cookies. Nothing about you is sold or shared for marketing.
• You can delete your account whenever you like, at nepali.games/account.

• Your account: a random id, the name and face you pick for the table, and when the account was made and last used. This is what makes your games and coins yours, and it is what the other players at a table see.
• If you sign in: your email address, or your Google account's id, name and email address. This lets you use the same account on another phone. We never see a password.
• Your games: the result of each game you finish, your scores, and who you played with at online tables. Your results are made from this, and so is the played before mark in the online list.
• Your coins: every coin you are given, win, stake or spend, one row at a time, so the balance can always be checked.
• Two settings kept with your account: who may invite you to a table, and which hand you hold the phone in.
• Online tables: while a table is played, its seats, cards and moves are kept so that everybody at it sees the same game. Quick chat sends one phrase from a fixed list, never text you type.
• If you report or block somebody: who it was, the reason you picked, and the name they had at the time. Reports are read by the people who run the game, and nobody is told who reported them. Nobody is told they were blocked either.
• Live scoreboards from the Marriage points calculator: the names and scores you type in, for anybody who has the link. A scoreboard is removed when you stop sharing it, or three days after it last changed.

Your language, theme and sound settings, games against the computer you have not finished, and results waiting to be sent are kept in your browser's storage on your own device. Only the results leave it, and only for your account. Clearing your browser's data for nepali.games removes all of it.

• Cloudflare hosts the site and the database. Like any web host it sees the internet address each request comes from, and keeps short-lived logs of requests to run and protect the service.
• Google, if you sign in with Google. You sign in on Google's own page, and Google tells us which account it was.
• Resend, if you sign in by email. It is given your email address to deliver the sign-in code.

Nobody else. We do not sell, rent or trade anything about you, and nothing here is used for advertising.

• Your account and everything in it: until you delete it.
• A sign-in code, or a sign-in you did not finish: a few minutes.
• An online table nobody comes back to: it settles itself after a day, and every stake on it goes back.
• A report or a block: for as long as both accounts exist, so that a name changed back after a report cannot quietly return.
• A live scoreboard: until you stop sharing it, and never more than three days after its last change.

Delete it at nepali.games/account, or from the Account tab of your profile. If you no longer have the phone you played on, sign in on that page with the same email or Google account first.

• What goes: your name and face, your email or Google account, your coins, the players you blocked and the reports made by you or about you, and your name at every table you sat at. Every device is signed out.
• What stays: your past games and coin movements, with nothing left that names you, because other players' results depend on them.
• One thing is kept: a scrambled mark that your email or Google account has already had the coins that come with signing in, so an account made with it again starts without them.
• A table you were sitting at when you deleted your account keeps your name until that table finishes or is abandoned.

Nepali Games is for players aged 13 and over, because some tables are played for stakes of coins. Nothing here asks for an age, and nobody has to give personal details to play. A parent can delete a child's account from the child's device, or write to us and we will delete it.

The servers are Cloudflare's, and your data may be kept in data centres outside Nepal.

If this policy changes, the date at the top of the page changes with it.
